Chapter 191 What is your relationship with the Gunter family?
"What kind of potion is this?" Hera pouted. Although it didn't look very good, it tasted very good.
"Spit real water."
"Ah!?" Hera, Professor McGonagall, and Professor Flitwick yelled in unison.
"If you think your brain is normal, you can realize that this is just a bottle of tranquilizing potion." Snape sneered, as if teasing Hera was a fun thing to do.
"."
"."
"Okay, let's move on." Hera suggested, he really couldn't stand Snape in this state, he would rather Snape continued to speak harshly.
Only now did he take stock of where he was, standing at one side of a long, dimly lit room. Many stone pillars engraved with coiled and entangled snakes stand tall and support the ceiling that melts in the darkness of the heights, casting a long and treacherous black shadow on the entire room filled with green and mysterious atmosphere.
They stood at the door, listening to the chilling silence.
Is the basilisk lurking in a dark corner behind a stone pillar?
They took out their wands and walked slowly among the serpent's coiled stone pillars.Every cautious step they took created a hollow, resounding echo among the ghostly walls.
Hera kept squinting her eyes, ready to close them tightly if there was any trouble.
He always felt that the empty eye sockets of the two stone snakes were always following him.More than once, he seemed to see something moving, and he was so nervous that his palms were sweating.
When he reached the end parallel to a pair of stone pillars, there loomed before him a statue as tall as the room itself, clinging to the darkened wall behind.
Hera raised her neck and saw the huge face above it—an old, monkey-like face, with a long, sparse beard that trailed almost to the hem of the wizard's robe carved in stone, and two large gray feet standing on the smooth floor of the room.Between those feet lay face down a figure in a black robe, with hair red as fire.
"Weasley?" Professor McGonagall exclaimed in surprise, hurried to the figure and squatted beside him, "Percy Weasley? Why are you here? Wake up, wake up!"
Hera also leaned over, Professor Flitwick and Snape looked around vigilantly, Weasley was lying here, there must be enemies.
Percy's face was marble, cold and bloodless, but his eyes were closed, so he wasn't petrified.
Well, he must be
Professor McGonagall's face turned pale. She never thought that just when they were about to end the monster in the chamber of secrets, another student would die.
"How is he?" Professor Flitwick asked in a low voice, his eyes fixed on the darkness, not knowing where the enemy would appear.
"He won't wake up," said a voice softly.
Everyone was taken aback, a figure slowly came out from the darkness, Snape's pupils suddenly dilated when he saw the figure clearly, but due to the dark environment of the secret room, no one noticed.
It was a tall, dark-haired boy, his outline vague and strange, as if looking at him through a window that was clouded with fog.
"Which college are you a student from? Why are you here?" Professor McGonagall's voice was cold, and everyone knew that she was extremely angry.
"I'm Slytherin." The boy said softly, and the cloak on his body also revealed this-the hem of the cloak was decorated with green patterns.
"Did you open the Chamber of Secrets?" said Professor McGonagall angrily, standing up abruptly, pointing her wand at him.
"No, no, it's not me, it's the guy behind you who opened the secret room."
"Weasley?"
"Yes, that's right, that's him." The boy nodded.Snape turned his head and spat secretly.
"What do you mean, you said he won't wake up?" Professor Flitwick pointed the tip of his wand at the boy. He didn't relax his vigilance in the slightest because of the boy's age, but was more cautious. Facing the four professors, he remained so calm, he was definitely not an ordinary student.
Not to mention the existence of a millennium basilisk.
"He's alive," said the boy, "but not for long."
The professors were silent. They didn't know what the boy meant or Weasley's current situation, but it was clear that the boy was someone to communicate with, and perhaps they could learn how to save Percy from him.
"Hera Lestrange!" The boy called out the name suddenly, and all the professors noticed that Hera had almost slipped out of the room—his half of his foot had already stepped out.
"Uh, I'm just." Hera was a little embarrassed, mainly because she was found sneaking away, especially in such a tense situation.
"Would you like to hear my story?" said the boy, but without giving them time to respond, he continued, "I am a memory kept in a diary for 50 years." He pointed to the statue's big toe. There lay a diary quietly.
"How is it possible? There is no such thing as magic!" Snape said coldly.
The boy said calmly, "I don't know why, but that's how I exist. I'm just a memory, maybe like a portrait. I know you, Professor McGonagall of Transfiguration, Professor Snape of Potions, Professor Flitwick of Charms, and Hera the bastard."
"." Hera pursed her lips, why did she become a bastard to him?
"My name is Tom Riddle, and I used to be a student of Slytherin House at Hogwarts." Riddle said calmly.
"So, can you tell us how to save him?" Professor McGonagall said with a cold face.
Riddle just stared at Hera, playing with a wand between his slender fingers-this hadn't happened before, and everyone became tense because of the wand in his palm.He didn't seem to hear Professor McGonagall's voice at all.
"What's your relationship with the Gaunt family?" Riddle asked, his palm stopped suddenly, and the tip of his wand was aimed at Hera.
Hera pointed at herself in surprise, "Huh? Me? The Gunter family?"
"Yes, the Gaunt family, the blood of Slytherin." Riddle raised his head proudly.
Hera shook her head, "As far as I know, I have nothing to do with the Gunter family."
"Then why do you speak Parseltongue?" Riddle asked everyone's question, which was the same question that the professors were also puzzled by.
"Maybe it's because my Animagus is a snake?"
"Impossible." Riddle's face was cold. "Only the blood of Slytherin has the ability to communicate with snakes. You must have the blood of Slytherin."
"but I."
