Chapter 181 The Impeachment of Dumbledore

Chapter 181 The Impeachment of Dumbledore
Harry finally breathed a sigh of relief when he reached the oak door and gently pushed it open.It was a starry night, and he hurried up to the lighted window of Hagrid's place, until he was outside the door.He knocked lightly on the door - and only a few seconds later, Hagrid flung it open.Hagrid held a set of bows and arrows in his hand, pointing the arrows at Harry, while Fang, his great hound, barked loudly behind him.

"Who is it?" Hagrid said vigilantly, he couldn't see people outside, so the bow and arrow in his hand was still held high.

"It's me, Hagrid." Harry took off the Invisibility Cloak, revealing his messy black hair.

"Oh, it's you," said Hagrid, putting down his weapon and waiting for Harry. "What are you doing here?"

"What's that for?" Harry asked, pointing to the bow and arrow set, as they entered the house. He hadn't seen Hagrid here before.

"Nothing. Nothing." Hagrid said vaguely, "I thought. It's okay. Sit down. I'll make tea." He seemed a little disturbed, and the water in the kettle spilled out, almost putting out the fire, and then his thick hand shook violently, knocking over the teapot.

"Are you all right, Hagrid?" Harry asked. "Have you heard about Hermione and Miss Penello?"

"Oh, yes, of course I've heard," said Hagrid, his voice choking.

He kept looking nervously at the window. He poured Harry a large glass of boiling water—he had forgotten his tea and was putting a thick piece of fruitcake on a plate when there was a loud knock at the door.

Hagrid dropped the fruitcake, and Harry grabbed the Invisibility Cloak in horror, draped it over him, and recoiled into a corner.

Seeing that Harry was well hidden, Hagrid grabbed his bow and yanked the door open again.

"Good evening, Hagrid." It was Hera.He came in, looking very serious, followed by Dumbledore and Connery Fudge. His attire was still a complete disaster, pinstriped suit, bright red tie, black cape, purple pointed boots, and a dark green top hat tucked under his arm.

When Hagrid saw them, his face turned pale, and his brow began to sweat. He sank into a chair and looked at Hera and Dumbledore, then at Cornelius Fudge.

"It's too bad, Hagrid," said Fudge, in a crisp, quick tone. "It's so bad that we have to come. There have been so many attacks, it's gone too far. The Ministry of Magic must act."

"I don't," Hagrid looked at Dumbledore pleadingly, "You know, I don't, Professor Dumbledore, Mr. Hera, you also know, how could I be the heir to the Chamber of Secrets?"

Hera closed her eyes helplessly, and he silently opened a chair and sat down - Dumbledore and Fudge were still standing!
"I hope you understand, Connery, that I trust Hagrid completely," said Dumbledore, frowning at Fudge.

"But you see, Albus," said Fudge awkwardly, "Hagrid's criminal record is pretty bad for him. The Ministry of Magic has to do something about it - the Board of Trustees has been contacted."

"Minister Fudge, please listen to me." Hera still couldn't sit idly by.Although he'd always thought of Hagrid as an empty-headed idiot with no brute strength, Hagrid really considered him one of his best friends. "I think if you ask anyone who knows Hagrid, they will never suspect that he hurt anyone."

"Oh, of course I know," muttered Fudge, "but fifty years ago."

"Connery! I'll tell you anyway - taking Hagrid away won't help at all," said Dumbledore, his blue eyes blazing with anger that no one present had ever seen.

Hera believed that even if Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald with his own hands, he might not have such anger in his heart.

"Look at it from my point of view," said Fudge, fiddling with his top hat in his hand, and gave Hera a sharp look, as if Hera's rebuttal had annoyed him. "I'm under a lot of pressure. Something has to be done. If it turns out it's not Hagrid, he'll come back without a word. But I have to take him away. Shouldn't I fulfill my—"

"Take me away?" said Hagrid, shivering all over. "Take me where?"

"It's a short time," said Fudge, a little afraid to look into Hagrid's beetle-like eyes—they were starting to get wet inside. "Not a punishment, just a precaution."

"Is it Azkaban?" Hera asked hoarsely.

Before Fudge could answer, someone knocked heavily on the door again.

Hera got up and went to open the door. His elbow seemed to hit something, and he heard a cry.

"Damn it, couldn't it be that guy Harry?" Hera cursed secretly in her heart.

Lucius Malfoy strode into Hagrid's cabin, tightly wrapped in a long black traveling cape, with a cold, contented smile on his face.Tooth started barking.

"You're here, Fudge," he said with satisfaction, "very, very good"

Hera could keenly sense that Malfoy's attitude towards Fudge was a bit strange, as if Fudge wanted something from him, which was completely different from the relationship they had when they met at the Ministry of Magic before.

"What are you doing here?" said Hagrid angrily. "Get out, get out of my house!"

"Believe me, dear friend, I'm not happy to be in your—oh—you call this a house?" Lucius sneered, looking around the small shack. "I just came to see the school and I was told the headmaster is here."

"What do you want me for, Lucius?" said Dumbledore. He spoke politely, but the anger still burned in his blue eyes.

Hera returned to the seat with her shoulders in her arms. He only felt that the arrival of Fudge and Lucius was definitely not a coincidence. This was definitely a serial design.

The question then arises, is Hagrid worth their effort?
Hagrid was just a gamekeeper, and Hera believed that Lucius was telling the truth—he wasn't happy about entering Hagrid's house, he was really coming to find Professor Dumbledore.

Apparently Lucius' plan really wasn't aimed at Hagrid, because he had already pulled out a long roll of parchment from his pocket, "Things are terrible, and the board of directors think you should be let go. This is the removal order - you will see that twelve directors have signed on it"
