Chapter 167 Filch Arrested
Chapter 167 Filch Arrested
Across the street, rustling figures were wandering by a Muggle laundromat seemingly by chance.
They were all Aurors from the Ministry of Magic, and they were all arranged to participate in today's arrest.
On the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron, Braden pushed the door and walked in, "You hit the mark, buddy, sometimes you are like a prophet."
He scratched his messy hair and said: "My colleagues have made a new discovery in an underground cave near the Gasland Museum."
"There are many traces of human activities there. Oh, you can never imagine how big the cave is."
He took out a stack of magic photos from his pocket, all of which were pictures of Aurors investigating the scene.
"What is this?" Hardy pointed his finger at the center of a magical photo, and a dark hole appeared in the huge underground cave.
Braden picked up the photo and looked at it, "Who knows? It looks like a big tree was uprooted."
"Tree?"
Hardy had a thoughtful look on his face.
"Look, the target has appeared!" Braden suddenly screamed in the room.
When Hardy turned his head, he saw a large group of Aurors pulling out their wands and surrounding a slightly hunched figure.
crackling.
Radiant arc-shaped chains flashed from the tips of the Aurors' staffs, binding the struggling figures tightly.
"Ha, I didn't expect it to be so easy!" Braden rushed downstairs excitedly, "This famous Mr. Browning is nothing more than that."
"let me go--"
"Untie it—you can't—"
Outside the laundry shop, the haggard man roared like a mad beast.
Braden was listening to his colleague report the situation in high spirits, "This guy is going to get the note in the pocket of the dirty suit No. 4, and he has no defense at all."
"Yeah, how does this Mr. Browning know how powerful our British Aurors are?"
"Felch?"
Behind Braden, Hardy walked over with an incredulous expression.
He thought the figure arrested outside the laundry was quite familiar before, but he didn't expect it to be Argus Filch, the administrator of Hogwarts.
"Oh—Professor Ollivander—"
Filch, who was bound by magic, stared, "They have to let me go!"
"Why did you appear here?" Hardy pursed his lips and asked.
The other party's expression was a little uncomfortable, but he was still angry: "I'm just passing by, what are you doing? Bullying a squib, this is the job of an Auror? Ha! Ha!"
Braden listened to the conversation between Hardy and Filch in surprise. He looked at his colleague, and Filch was taken away while struggling.
"It is necessary to notify Hogwarts of this matter, I mean, at least Dumbledore should know."
Hardy nodded, "Of course, I will do it."
two hours later.
With two dazzling lights flashing, Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall appeared in front of a small three-story building.
"Albus, I still can't believe it." Professor McGonagall tightly clutched the handkerchief in his hand, "Although Filch's evaluation among students and professors has never been good, he shouldn't."
Dumbledore patted Professor McGonagall on the shoulder, "Minerva, I don't want to believe it either, but that's what we're here for, isn't it?"
He blinked through his half-moon glasses: "If Argus is innocent, we're going to clear him, but if—although I don't want to—"
Some rotten single doors were suddenly opened, interrupting Dumbledore's words.
Braden and Hardy come out.
"Principal, Professor." Hardy greeted briefly, and Braden wiped his palms, intending to shake hands with Dumbledore.
"Oh, Hardy, you can't understand how I felt when I received your letter." Professor McGonagall frowned tightly.
She still wanted to say something, but after glancing at Dumbledore, she suddenly stopped talking.
"Headmaster, how is Harry Potter?" Hardy asked Dumbledore, nodding at Professor McGonagall.
"He's fine, don't worry, the protection you gave him has been in effect, no matter how many times I look at it, I'll be surprised."
"Harry Potter?" Braden blinked. "Oh, yes, he's being watched by Sirius Black, poor boy."
The four of them walked up the creaking stairs to the second floor. In the room at the end of the corridor, orange lights were shaking.
Filch was tied to a chair by a belt, and his spirits were rather sluggish, completely free of the initial anger and struggle.
He is now a prisoner watched by the Aurors.
After two hours, he finally realized this.
When he saw Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall, Filch's expression was quite complicated. He mumbled and shook his head, lowering his head and not looking at anyone.
"It is necessary to feed him Veritaserum," Braden said in a low voice. "Out of respect for Hogwarts, you will be allowed to conduct today's interrogation, but my colleagues and I have to watch from the sidelines."
"Thank you very much." Dumbledore smiled politely at Braden, then looked at Filch and sighed.
With this sigh, all the belts on Filch's body fell to the ground.
"Hey! This won't work!" Braden and several other Aurors almost jumped up on the spot, and they all took out their wands in unison.
Some were aimed at Filch, while others were very nervous at Dumbledore.
"The principal will follow the rules." Hardy patted Braden on the shoulder.
Braden swallowed his saliva, he glanced at Dumbledore, and then at the smiling Hardy: "Well, okay, let's not make an example."
"Get this paragraph out of the interrogation log." Braden yelled, looking at a fellow Auror.
"I hope this will make you more comfortable, Argus." Dumbledore walked towards Filch, who was on the chair, with his head still bowed.
Raising his wand slightly, Dumbledore conjured up a table for Filch, on which parchment and quills were neatly arranged.
"If you feel uncomfortable, you don't have to speak up, then write down what happened." Hardy understood what Dumbledore meant.
"But Veritaserum won't work that way!" Brayden reminded.
"Please trust Hogwarts." Professor McGonagall emphasized sullenly.
When they saw Filch pick up the quill tremblingly, Dumbledore and others all left the room.
After Braden left for the time being, Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall asked Hardy about the whole story in detail.
"Is it related to the recent disappearance of wizards?"
Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall looked at each other, their expressions becoming serious.
